Deadlock releases first of six new City Never Sleeps heroes
Valve unlocks them on Tuesdays and Fridays through Oct. 20, according to the press; players vote on the order in the lobby.
Deadlock's six new heroes are not all playable yet, even though the City Never Sleeps update arrived on Sept. 29. Valve is releasing them one at a time, and the first is available today, Oct. 2.
Releases land on Tuesdays and Fridays at 14:00 Pacific time, which is 15:00 in Mexico City, according to GosuGamers. At that pace the dates are Oct. 2, 6, 9, 13, 16 and 20, and the last hero would arrive on that final day.
The characters are Deadman Danny, Nurse Harrow, Solomon, Baba, Violet and Rat King, according to TheGamer. If you play Deadlock, your vote in the lobby before a match influences the order, and votes from the winning team count double, according to Beebom.
The patch also rebuilds the New York map with four new districts: Theater, Chinatown, Haunted Lot and Plaza. It also adds the Broker, a temporary merchant who swaps expensive items for corrupted versions. Those versions are stronger but come with random drawbacks.
One point remains unconfirmed. The version of Valve's patch notes that could be read lists only interface and accessibility tweaks, so the schedule and the time come from the press, not from a company text. There is also no figure for how many days the Broker stays.
