Manchester City rout Liverpool 3-0 after Gravenberch red card
Haaland, Doku and Cherki scored within 13 minutes of the Dutchman's second yellow, in City's first match since the financial rules ruling.
Manchester City won 3-0 at Anfield in matchday 6 of the Premier League and remain perfect. The match was even, with few chances, until the 62nd minute, when Ryan Gravenberch was shown a second yellow card and Liverpool were down to ten, according to ESPN.
A burst followed. Erling Haaland put City ahead in the 65th minute. Jérémy Doku, who came on in the 56th, made it 2-0 in the 68th, and Rayan Cherki made it 3-0 in the 78th. ESPN does not record assists, but Liverpool's match report credits the third goal to a pass from Joško Gvardiol, from close range. That source places the sending-off "two minutes past the hour".
The hosts played without Alexander Isak, Cody Gakpo and Dominik Szoboszlai. Lewis Koumas started for the first time in the Premier League. According to ESPN, Szoboszlai had a muscle injury in the thigh; the club material consulted has no medical update.
It was City's first match since an independent commission found the club guilty of breaking the league's financial rules, a ruling the club appealed.
