Apple's HomeView and Apple TV 4K cost $299; Mexico has no date
Apple opened preorders in the US and other countries, but has given no price or date for Mexico, and Siri AI launches in English only.
People in Mexico cannot buy either of the two devices Apple unveiled on Tuesday. Apple has said nothing about a Mexican price or release date for HomeView or the new Apple TV 4K, and Apple's Mexico site read "Check availability later" at 09:05 Mexico City time.
According to Apple's HomeView announcement, the 7-inch home control display costs $299, in both tabletop and wall-mounted versions. Preorders opened Oct. 13 in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, India and New Zealand, and sales begin Nov. 13. Singapore opens preorders Oct. 15, South Africa sells from Nov. 13 through authorized distributors, and the European Union is left out. Mexico is not mentioned.
The Apple TV 4K with the A19 chip also costs $299. Apple says preorders reach the United States "and 29 other countries and regions" without publishing the list. Whether Mexico is among them, and at what price, remains unconfirmed.

Siri AI is the selling point
Both devices debut Siri AI, an assistant Apple builds on the new generation of Apple Intelligence, its artificial intelligence system. It is in beta and, at launch, works only in English in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, India, New Zealand, Singapore and South Africa. Apple has announced only Canadian French as the next language. Without Siri AI in Spanish, much of what justifies the purchase is out of reach for a Mexican user.
Anyone who already owns a second-generation or later Apple TV 4K will get Siri AI through a software update, so the new model is not needed to try it once it reaches their language. Apple adds that some features require an iPhone or iPad with compatible Apple Intelligence.
Performance figures are, for now, the company's own. Apple says the A19 delivers up to 50% more CPU performance and up to twice the GPU performance of the previous generation. There are no independent tests, and MacRumors and HomeKit News report on the same announcement rather than running their own.
The price and date of the HomePod mini 2 are also missing. MacRumors puts it at $149, without a separate Apple release. Apple's Mexico site is the first place to check for when, and at what price, these arrive.
