Eric Bauza, voice of Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck, dies

His family announced it on the actor's Instagram account. The post says he died suddenly and gives no cause.

Eric Bauza, who voiced Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck in recent Looney Tunes projects, has died, his family announced on the actor's Instagram account. The post appeared Sunday, Oct. 25, at about 21:00 Mexico City time.

Signed "from the family of Eric Bauza," it says he "has passed away suddenly. More details to come." It gives no cause of death, no location and no date for a memorial.

The statement also credits him with "dozens of other beloved cartoon characters." This year he had used the same account to promote the trailer for "Coyote vs. Acme," a film he said would reach theaters Aug. 28.

His last post on X is from Oct. 22 and is about Looney Tunes. The family has promised further details.
