Nintendo has rolled out system update 23.0.1 for the Switch 2 and the original Switch. According to GoNintendo, the patch arrived on October 1.

It fixes a single problem that appeared with version 23.0.0: software could take a long time to launch, pause or close. GameRant and GoNintendo both reproduce Nintendo's change log, and neither mentions new features.

Version 23.0.0 came out on September 10. It added VRR (variable refresh rate) to docked mode, and GameChat gained Dutch, Russian and Brazilian Portuguese. The fix lands 21 days later.

Nintendo's change log does not explain how to install the update. The exact date in Mexico time is also unconfirmed: one search result dates the patch to September 30, and Nintendo's support page was not available to check it against.
