Rockstar releases the Grand Theft Auto VI launch trailer

The roughly minute-and-a-half video follows Jason and Lucia and debuts a song by Justice with SZA and Tame Impala. The game launches Nov. 19.

Rockstar Games released the Launch Trailer for *Grand Theft Auto VI* on Oct. 15 on the game's official page. It arrives 35 days before the Nov. 19, 2026 launch on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.

Kotaku reports that the video appeared with no prior teasing and runs about a minute and a half. According to that outlet, it explains how Jason ended up a criminal, his time in the army included, and cuts between shootouts, chases and an intimate scene with Lucia. GAMINGbible adds heists and drives around Vice City.

The music is the other draw. The trailer debuts "Flower in a Hurricane," a track from the game's soundtrack that Justice recorded with Tame Impala, SZA and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard. Kotaku notes it will also appear on the official soundtrack release.

Rockstar sums up the story as Jason and Lucia always knowing "the deck is stacked against them." The page now shows a pre-order button and a "Plays Best On PS5" badge, and GAMINGbible lists pre-order links in the PlayStation and Xbox stores.

What remains unclear: the reports reviewed give no price for the pre-order or the editions, and none mentions a PC version. The ESRB rates it Mature for blood, intense violence, nudity, strong language and strong sexual content, and for drug and alcohol use, and it warns of in-game purchases.

It is the fourth major video of the campaign, after the first trailer in December 2023, the second in May 2025 and "An Extended Look" on Aug. 27, 2026. The game has already slipped twice, from fall 2025 to May 2026 and from there to November, according to the reports reviewed. This video is official and unrelated to the leaked clip that circulated this week.
