Leeds hold Man United 1-1 as the winless run goes on
Mbeumo put the visitors ahead in the 35th minute and Calvert-Lewin equalized in the 51st at Elland Road; Carrick's side has one league win in seven games.
Leeds United and Manchester United drew 1-1 at Elland Road in the Premier League on Sunday, Oct. 18. Both goals came before the 52nd minute, according to Sky Sports.
Bryan Mbeumo opened the scoring in the 35th minute. Youri Tielemans provided the pass and Mbeumo finished low. Earlier, in the 27th, Mbeumo had headed wide, unmarked, from another Tielemans cross. At halftime, United manager Michael Carrick replaced Lisandro Martínez with Noussair Mazraoui and kept the three-man defense.
The equalizer came in the 51st. Tarik Muharemović flicked on a corner and Dominic Calvert-Lewin scored from close range for 1-1.
United have one win, four draws and two defeats in seven league games. It is their fewest wins at this point of a season since 1986-87, and they have not won in the Premier League since August, according to Sky Sports.
Carrick said the match felt "a bit like a fresh start" given where the team stands. Leeds manager Daniel Farke said his squad is "definitely on the right path." Calvert-Lewin said Leeds were unlucky not to win. United defender Harry Maguire acknowledged his team was not "as brave as it should be" on the ball, according to the same source.
The length of the drought varies by outlet: ESPN counts five league games without a win, while Sky Sports counts the stretch since August.
