Windows 11 23H2 Enterprise and Education ends Nov. 10

Microsoft reminded customers on Oct. 9 that November's update will be the last for those editions, leaving about four weeks to migrate.

The Enterprise and Education editions of Windows 11 version 23H2 stop receiving updates on Nov. 10, 2026, according to the 30-day reminder Microsoft posted on Oct. 9 in its Windows message center. The November security update will be the last one available for them.

The PCs will keep booting, but they will no longer get the monthly patches that protect against new threats. Microsoft recommends moving eligible devices to a supported version of Windows 11, which is found under Settings, Windows Update, Check for updates. The change affects organizations, schools and universities running fleets of PCs on 23H2, including in Mexico, and their IT departments have about four weeks.

The October reminder does not name a target version. The 60-day notice, from Sept. 15, mentions 25H2, which Microsoft says stays updated on Enterprise and Education until Oct. 11, 2028. BleepingComputer, which reported the notice on Oct. 12, points to 26H2 as the path instead.

Two points remain open. BleepingComputer also includes the IoT Enterprise edition, which does not appear in the Microsoft reminder consulted, and no different date for Mexico was found. Version 24H2 for Home and Pro has its own cutoff this week, on Oct. 13.
