Apex Legends adds a Godzilla event starting Nov. 10
The premium pass costs 950 Apex Coins, and the event adds 20 skins; the free track includes an epic Octane skin.
Godzilla arrives in Apex Legends on Tuesday, Nov. 10, and stays through Dec. 1. EA and Respawn laid out the details on Thursday, three days after a teaser of a few seconds. The tagline: "You can't defeat it, you can only survive."
It is the game's first crossover with the Japanese franchise, and it lands the same day that Godzilla Minus Zero, Takashi Yamazaki's film, opens in theaters across North America.
The skins
Ten legends get new looks. Nine are iconic skins: Bloodhound as "Godzilla 2026," Valkyrie as "Mothra 2003," Wraith as "Godzilla 2016," Pathfinder as "Mechagodzilla 1974," Mad Maggie as "Destoroyah," Loba as "SpaceGodzilla," Horizon as "Godzilla 1995," Revenant as "Super Mechagodzilla 1993" and Catalyst as "Ghidorah 1991." The tenth, an epic-rarity skin, is Octane as "Jet Jaguar."
Weapons get legendary skins too: the Devotion, Hemlock, Rampage, CAR, Havoc, Longbow, Wingman, Prowler, Spitfire and P2020.
The event pass
| Track | Cost | What it includes |
|---|---|---|
| Free | Free | XP, event packs, crafting metals, badges, a Tracker Set and the epic Octane "Jet Jaguar" skin |
| Premium | 950 Apex Coins | Everything above plus the iconic Catalyst "Ghidorah 1991" skin, a legendary Prowler skin, an epic P2020 skin, stickers, a banner frame and two epic packs |
The event page gives no peso equivalent for the 950 Apex Coins, so players in Mexico will need to check what the coin bundle costs on their platform before buying.
Twitch Drops
Players who link their EA account to Twitch can earn rewards from Nov. 10 to Nov. 17: a chibi Godzilla weapon charm at 30 minutes and the "Mothra's Milestones" Tracker Set at 60. The prizes reach the game within 24 hours.
The event lasts three weeks, so there is time to finish the free track before Dec. 1.
