Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds opens Year Two with Duel Mode
SEGA's racer adds one-on-one races and new gadgets. On Steam Mexico, the Season Pass Two costs about $21.
Year Two of Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is now live. SEGA announced it Tuesday on the PlayStation Blog, in a post by Erin An, the studio's community manager.
The headline addition is Duel Mode: two racers, one track. Standard races pit 12 players against each other; here the gap to your rival and the use of items decide it.
The update also brings new gadgets and a Super Slot, built for single-slot gadgets with boosted effects. More racers, vehicles and courses come with it. Separately, the Sega Consoles Pack adds three cars that pay homage to the Dreamcast, Genesis and Saturn.
SEGA also permanently cut the game's price on PlayStation Store. The standard edition costs $39.99, and the Digital Deluxe and Year Two Digital Deluxe editions are $59.99 each.
On Steam Mexico, prices are listed in pesos. At the latest official Banxico rate, they come to:
| Edition | Price |
|---|---|
| Base game | $30 (569 pesos, at 18.7962 pesos per dollar on Oct. 30) |
| Digital Deluxe (with the original Season Pass) | $44 (829 pesos) |
| Year Two Digital Deluxe (with Season Pass Two) | $44 (829 pesos) |
| Season Pass Two, sold separately | $21 (389 pesos) |

The game launched Sept. 25, 2025. Steam lists it for Windows, while SEGA's announcement points only to PlayStation Store for Sony's consoles.
