Phantom Blade Zero preload opens tonight, launch is Wednesday
Preload starts at 8 p.m. Mexico City time and the game unlocks Oct. 28 at the same hour. On PC it takes about 145 GB.
Phantom Blade Zero's preload opens tonight. The game's official account set it for 7 p.m. Pacific time, which is 8 p.m. in Mexico City on Monday.
The game unlocks Wednesday, Oct. 28, at the same hour: 8 p.m. in the Mexican capital. Developer S-GAME Studio gives its times in Beijing and Pacific time, so for central Mexico the math is to add one hour to the Pacific time. The unlock is simultaneous worldwide, with no separate date for Mexico.
Preloading does not grant early access. It only downloads the files so the game can start the moment it unlocks.
Start early. The studio said Saturday that the game takes up about 145 GB on PC and recommends installing it on an SSD. On an average home connection, that download can take hours.
On the Mexican storefront of Steam, the standard edition costs $56 (1,039.99 pesos, at 18.667 pesos per dollar on Oct. 23).
The Digital Deluxe costs $65 (1,209.99 pesos).
The listing shows Oct. 28 as the release date, and the game is Windows-only.
Check your PC before buying. Both tiers of requirements call for an SSD:
| Component | Minimum | Recommended |
|---|---|---|
| Processor | Intel Core i7-8700K or AMD Ryzen 5 3600 | Intel Core i5-10600K or AMD Ryzen 5 5600X |
| Memory | 16 GB | 16 GB |
| Graphics card | GTX 1660 (6 GB) or RX 5500 XT (8 GB) | RTX 3060 Ti (8 GB) or RX 6700 XT (12 GB) |
| Resolution and frame rate | 1080p at 30 FPS with upscaling | 1440p at 60 FPS with upscaling |
| System | Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit | Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit |
Once the preload is done, launching the game on Wednesday at 8 p.m. Mexico City time is all that is left.
