Final Fantasy Resonance: editions, prices and PC requirements

Preorders on Steam Mexico start at about $46 for the standard edition and $54 for Digital Deluxe; a free demo is out and the minimum needs a GTX 1650.

Final Fantasy Resonance arrives on Thursday, Oct. 22, 2026, on PC (Steam and the Microsoft Store), PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch and Switch 2. Three days before launch, Steam Mexico already sells preorders.

On Steam Mexico, the standard edition costs about $46 (850 pesos, at 18.49 pesos per dollar on Oct. 16) and Digital Deluxe about $54 (1,000 pesos).

It is the first Final Fantasy in the HD-2D style, a turn-based RPG from Square Enix made together with LANCARSE. Steam presents it as a classic adventure with airships, crystals, espers and moogles, and a combat system that rewards hitting an enemy's weaknesses to break its defense and earn extra turns.

A winged monster built from pixelated silhouettes and long claws emerges from white smoke, with red sparks against a dark blue background.

The Steam Mexico prices come from the store; the US prices and the contents of the editions come from RPG Site. The collector's edition includes the physical game, a code to upgrade to Digital Deluxe, acrylic blocks, a pixel-art art book, a CD with 120 tracks and a card from the Final Fantasy Trading Card Game. Physical versions exist only on PS5 and Switch, and the Switch 2 one is a Game-Key Card, meaning a download key.

What each purchase includes

According to RPG Site, the extra content breaks down like this:

  • Digital Deluxe: the Magitek and Grimoire pack. It brings the Magitek Armor Key, which dresses your chocobo in magitek armor; the Archwitch's Grimoire, exclusive to this edition, which unlocks a character's Fel Meteor; and the Mastery Ring, which raises affinity with the Visions. It also adds five Phoenix Down, five Mist Potion, five Mist Ether, five tents and three Remedy.
  • Preorder bonus: the Magitek Airship & Squire Starter pack. It turns your airship into a magitek vessel and adds a knight's sword, a breastplate that grants more experience and a Magicite Shard. It unlocks after reaching a certain point in the story.
  • Early purchase bonus: the Squire Kickstart Pack, with a blessed cuirass that earns more gil per battle and a Mist Ether.

A GTX 1650 appears in both columns, so it covers the minimum and also the 60 frames per second tier. Before paying, you can download the free demo of the first chapter, available on Steam since Sept. 3. RPG Site says your progress carries over to the full game.

Steam lists eight languages, including Spain Spanish, English, French, German and Simplified Chinese. Latin American Spanish does not appear, and the store does not say whether Spanish covers the interface, voices or subtitles. The only known rating so far is Famitsu's 36 out of 40, reported by El Mediático on Oct. 16.

Still pending are the peso prices on the PlayStation Store, Nintendo eShop and Xbox, which have not been confirmed, and checking the editions and bonuses against an official Square Enix page.
