The expansion moves from January to February. Pre-orders open Nov. 4 and bring early access from Feb. 19, four days before launch.

Square Enix has pushed Evercold, the sixth expansion for Final Fantasy XIV, to Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2027. The company had pointed to January when it announced the expansion in April. It confirmed the new date on the Lodestone, the game's official site, after presenting it at Fan Festival 2026 in Tokyo.

Until now, Evercold had no exact day, and it arrives already moved.

Pre-orders open Wednesday, Nov. 4. Anyone who reserves the expansion gets in from Friday, Feb. 19, four days before launch. The press release lists 9 a.m. GMT for both moments and marks the early access as tentative.

Pre-orders will carry several bonuses, but editions and prices have not been detailed. The announcement points to the Evercold site for specifics.

At the same event, producer and director Naoki Yoshida introduced Zephyr, the second of the expansion's two new jobs. Zephyr is a physical ranged attacker that fights with a crossbow, backed by Nephele, a bird-like familiar, according to the company's press release. The game has passed 35 million registered accounts worldwide, the company added.

In Mexico City, 9 a.m. GMT is 3 a.m., so pre-orders open in the middle of the night on Nov. 4.
