Helldivers 2 launches the Scope of Authority Warbond on Oct. 20
The premium pack adds four weapons, a stratagem and two stealth armors. PlayStation has not yet given a price or a release time.
Helldivers 2 will release the premium Scope of Authority Warbond on Oct. 20, a gear pack built around long range and stealth, according to the PlayStation Blog. The post does not give a release time, a cost in Super Credits or the platforms. It only says that unlocking it requires the base game, Super Credits and in-game progress.
What is in it
There are four weapons:
- R-40 Sightliner: a bolt-action rifle for sniping. It uses armor-piercing rounds and aims at long-range precision.
- P-44 Mist: a one-handed machine pistol meant to back up the sniper in close combat.
- AMW-20 Apex: an anti-materiel rifle that draws ammo from the backpack and reloads with assistance.
- LAS-44 Nova: an energy rifle with infinite ammo and a shot that needs a brief charge.
The stratagem is the G-11 Caltrops: it is thrown, scatters submunitions that detonate on proximity and is used to slow and stun enemies.
There are two armors: the light SS-33 Mimetic Marshal, with the Mimetic Mesh cape, and the medium SS-15 Focal Point, with the Boundary Banner cape. Each comes with its player card. Both share the Stationary Shroud passive: when the player is crouched or prone, the weapon moves less and enemies spot them from a shorter distance.
The pack is rounded out by the Manual Ballistic Projection emote and the Longshot title.
What is still unknown
PlayStation presents the pack as an invitation to line up the perfect shot in long-distance combat. What it does not say is how much it costs in Super Credits, what time it goes live on Oct. 20 or which platforms it will cover. Those three details are pending from the game's Acquisition Center or Arrowhead's official accounts.
