Phoenix Cyclops joins MARVEL Tōkon on Nov. 2

He is the first character of the Year 1 Pass, and a first sale and a 3-hour PlayStation Plus trial start today.

Phoenix Cyclops arrives in MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls on Nov. 2 as the first character of the Year 1 Pass. Arc System Works, the Japanese studio behind the fighting game, announced it on PlayStation Blog. Two costumes for the character, "Classic" and "Legacy," launch the same day.

The announcement comes with two moves on PlayStation. Starting today, Oct. 7, the game gets its first sale on PlayStation Store, with the Ultimate Edition discounted. ComicBook.com puts it at $84.99 on PS5 and says there seems to be no discount on PC. That figure comes from that outlet: the official blog gives no prices.

Also starting today, PlayStation Plus subscribers can play a 3-hour trial. The blog post does not say on which consoles or for which subscription tier, so it is worth checking the store before downloading.

Anyone attending EVO France, Oct. 9 to 11 in France, can try Phoenix Cyclops at the game's booth before launch.

The character is included in the Year 1 Pass, which is part of the Digital Deluxe and Ultimate editions. Phoenix Cyclops was revealed in July with a fall window, and this is the date that confirms it.

Still unpublished: how much the character will cost on his own, and how long the sale lasts.
