Canelo-Mbilli to air on Azteca 7 and DAZN in Mexico
The WBC super middleweight title fight will be on free-to-air TV in Mexico; Munguia, Espinoza and Delgado also fight for belts in Riyadh.
Canelo Álvarez will face Christian Mbilli on Saturday, Oct. 31, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Mbilli, a Frenchman, defends the World Boxing Council (WBC) super middleweight title. In Mexico the fight will be shown on Azteca 7, a free-to-air network, and on DAZN, Excélsior reported on Oct. 16.
The newspaper did not give a start time or say whether free-to-air TV will carry the whole fight or only part of the card. Boxing Insider puts the main event ring walk at 3 a.m. in Riyadh, which is 18:00 (6 p.m.) on Friday, Oct. 30, in Mexico City. That is a single-source detail and can shift as the card runs. In the United States, DAZN sells the event as pay-per-view.
The 10-bout card, billed "México vs. The World," has three belts with Mexican fighters.
| Fight | Belt |
|---|---|
| Jaime Munguía vs. Nikita Zon | WBA super middleweight |
| Rafael Espinoza vs. Lorenzo Parra | WBO featherweight mandatory challenger |
| Lindolfo Delgado vs. Arthur Biyarslanov | Vacant IBF junior welterweight |

Speaking about the fight to The Ring, Álvarez said, according to Infobae: "Our styles are perfect to put on a great fight." Mbilli, according to Boxing Insider, says he will bring "the Mexican style."
The start time of the broadcast in Mexico and the price of the pay-per-view still have to be confirmed with TV Azteca or DAZN.
