Geyse scores in 11th straight game as América beat Pachuca
The Brazilian passes Charlyn Corral's streak and reaches 17 goals; the Águilas won 2-1 on matchday 11 and lead Group B with 28 points.
Club América Femenil beat Pachuca 2-1 on Sunday, Oct. 18, on matchday 11 of the Apertura 2026 in Liga MX Femenil, Mexico's top women's soccer league, and Geyse Ferreira scored for the 11th straight game. Claro Sports presents her as the first player to score in 11 consecutive games in a single tournament.
The Brazilian forward passes the 10 games of Charlyn Corral, who set that mark in the Clausura 2024. Her streak began on the first matchday, and she now has 17 goals and leads the scoring table. She also passes the 15 that Lucero Cuevas and Katty Martínez scored in a regular season with the club, according to the same source.
The match was settled early. Irene Guerrero made it 1-0 in the 5th minute, taking advantage of a mistake in Pachuca's back line. In the 30th, Geyse extended the lead to 2-0 with a shot inside the box. Mackenzee Vance pulled one back for the Tuzas in the 35th, although Mediotiempo places that goal in the 34th minute.
Guerrero was also honored for her 100 official matches with América, in which she has 51 goals and three titles.
América came in after a 4-3 loss to Rayadas on matchday 10. With the win it reached 28 points and remains the leader of Group B, while Pachuca has 10. On the same matchday, Tigres and Rayadas joined América in playoff position, according to Fox Sports México.
