Skubal and Misiorowski open the NLCS

Game 1 is tonight at 7 p.m. Mexico central time, and the Brewers seek revenge for the sweep they suffered in 2025.

The Los Angeles Dodgers and Milwaukee Brewers open the National League Championship Series (NLCS) this Sunday, Oct. 11, at American Family Field. Game 1 begins at 8 p.m. ET, 7 p.m. in central Mexico, and is broadcast on FOX, FOX Deportes and FOX One, according to MLB.com.

The starters will be Tarik Skubal for the Dodgers and Jacob Misiorowski for the Brewers, according to another MLB.com story on the matchup.

Skubal closed the year with a 2.72 ERA in 26 starts; with the Dodgers, 2.61. In the division series he pitched six innings and gave up one run. Misiorowski led the majors in four categories: ERA (1.80), strikeouts (252), WHIP (0.80) and opponents' batting average (.157). In the division series against the Padres, his fastball reached 104.8 mph.

Milwaukee finished the regular season with 103 wins and Los Angeles with 100. The Brewers won four of the seven meetings between them, according to NBC Sports. The Dodgers, the defending champions, seek their third straight World Series. In the 2025 NLCS they swept Milwaukee 4-0.

Shohei Ohtani arrives with discomfort in his right biceps and left knee, and is batting .154 in October, so he was moved down in the order, according to MLB.com. The club has not released an official update in the sources consulted.

Game 2 is Monday, Oct. 12. Games 3 and 4 will be played in Los Angeles on the 14th and 15th; Game 5 is on the 16th, and Games 6 and 7, if needed, on the 18th and 19th in Milwaukee. The winner of the best-of-seven series advances to the World Series.
