Fortnite confirms One Piece crossover in a seven-second teaser

Epic showed the Going Merry and a joint logo, but has not said which characters are coming or when.

Fortnite is getting a One Piece crossover. The game's official account confirmed it on X on Saturday with a seven-second teaser, posted around midday in Mexico City with nothing but three straw hat emojis.

The clip opens on a full moon among clouds. A ship's silhouette slowly emerges from the fog, with a figurehead that matches the Going Merry, the vessel the Straw Hat Pirates set sail on in Eiichiro Oda's manga. It ends on the joint logo and a copyright line crediting Epic Games, Oda, Shueisha and Toei Animation.

That is all there is. Epic has not named any characters, set a date or said what the items will cost, or whether they will come in the battle pass or the item shop. Fortnite sells cosmetics in V-Bucks, so no local price in pesos exists.

The teaser shows the ship, not a playable character. The post had passed 210,000 likes when the account was checked, a measure of the appetite for anime in a game where Epic has made crossovers a habit.

For players in Mexico, the practical upshot is to wait. Until Epic posts the full announcement on its official channels, there is nothing to buy or unlock.
