Modern Warfare 4: how to play the campaign early, from Oct. 16
Early access needs a digital preorder. On Steam Mexico the game costs about $72 and asks for 115 GB of SSD space.
The campaign of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 opens Friday, Oct. 16, a week before the full game, but only for players with a digital edition preordered. A physical copy does not unlock it, according to MP1st.
To get in, preorder the Standard or the Vault edition in your platform's digital store: Xbox, PlayStation 5, Battle.net or Steam. Switch 2 will get access too, though its preorders open later this year. Only the campaign is playable that week: multiplayer waits for Oct. 23, the launch day on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2 and PC, per Gfinity. Don't count on Game Pass that day either: MP1st says the game is not in the service at launch, without official confirmation.

On PC, the Steam page for Mexico already lists prices in pesos. Besides the game, the store shows an "Edición de Archivo" (Archive Edition) and an upgrade for those who already bought the standard version. Dollar figures use Banxico's FIX rate (18.1128 pesos per dollar, published Oct. 9).
| Edition | Price |
|---|---|
| Standard edition | $72 (1,299 pesos) |
| Archive Edition | $105 (1,898 pesos) |
| Upgrade to Archive Edition | $33 (599 pesos) |
English-language outlets talk about a Vault edition; it is not confirmed that it is the same as the Archive Edition, or what each one includes.
What it asks for on PC
Before paying, free up space: Steam asks for 115 GB on an SSD. The minimum is Windows 10, 8 GB of RAM, a Ryzen 5 1400 or Core i5-6600 and a GTX 970, GTX 1060, RX 470 or Arc A580. The recommended spec rises to Windows 11, 16 GB of RAM, a Ryzen 5 3600 or Core i7-8700K and an RTX 3060, RX 6600 XT or Arc B580.
What is still missing is the time the campaign opens on Oct. 16: the sources consulted do not publish it. Steam also shows the launch as Oct. 22, a day before other outlets, and prices on the PlayStation Store and Xbox for Mexico are not confirmed.
