Ocarina of Time on Switch 2: voices, a mic and $59.99
Nintendo's new trailer walks through what the remake changes, including an ocarina you can play by humming into the console's microphone.
Nintendo released a trailer on Oct. 14 that walks through the Ocarina of Time remake for Nintendo Switch 2, a game the company calls "completely reborn." It launches Nov. 5, 2026 and costs $59.99 as a digital download, according to the Nintendo Store listing.
The video, posted on Nintendo's site, covers what changes from the Nintendo 64 original: rebuilt visuals, voiced cutscenes, expanded dialogue and a full orchestral score. It also adds a new area, the Hall of Fallen Heroes, where players can look up the monsters they have beaten or fight them again.

The most striking addition is the console's microphone. Players hum one of the songs Link already knows, or play it on a real instrument, and the in-game ocarina reacts. The announcement does not say whether there is an alternative control for players who would rather not use the mic. The game also supports ZELDA NOTES in the Nintendo Switch app, which requires a Nintendo account and a compatible smart device.
What is known for anyone deciding whether to buy:
- Digital: $59.99, with an estimated download of about 27 GB.
- Physical: $69.99, with foil cover art on the first print run, according to Forbes. Nintendo does not list it in its store.
- Languages: includes Latin American Spanish.
- ESRB rating: animated blood and fantasy violence.
- Amiibo: two new figures, young Link and young Zelda, arrive in 2027 at $24.99 each.
- Accessory: the Electric OCARINA OF TIME sells for $49.99.
Forbes adds that there is no collector's edition or preorder bonus. Nintendo ties the launch to the series' 40th anniversary, and on Oct. 29 the Switch 2 40th anniversary edition goes on sale without the game.
The price in Mexico is still pending; Nintendo's US page does not give one.
