Petit Planet is coming to Nintendo Switch 2 in 2027
HoYoverse confirmed the free life sim's first console version, with no exact date, and is giving away three Switch 2 consoles to people who repost the news.
Petit Planet is coming to Nintendo Switch 2 in 2027. HoYoverse, the company behind Genshin Impact, announced it Sunday from the game's official account: "We're hard at work on the Nintendo Switch 2," the team wrote.
There is no exact date or price. It is the first time the studio has confirmed a console for this free life sim, which until now had been presented for PC and mobile. The ESRB listing had already carried a Switch 2 version, alongside Windows, with an E (Everyone) rating, though nobody had confirmed it.
On that listing, players roam an empty planet and fill it in by fishing, catching bugs, planting crops and reshaping the landscape. The ESRB also flags in-game purchases of random items and user interaction, and names Cognosphere Pte. Ltd. as the publisher.
To mark the news, the account launched a repost giveaway: three winners get a Switch 2 with a Pro Controller, and ten more get a $50 gift card.
Players in Mexico and elsewhere will have to wait for HoYoverse to explain how the random-item system will work on console, and whether progress will carry over from PC and mobile. The studio said more details and gameplay footage will come later.
