Witchbrook launches Jan. 28, 2027 after repeated delays

Nintendo's Indie World set the date for Chucklefish's witch-school game and announced Slime Rancher 2 for Switch 2, with no day yet.

Witchbrook will launch Jan. 28, 2027, after repeated delays, on PC through Steam, both Switch models, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5. Chucklefish set the date during Nintendo's Indie World showcase on Wednesday.

The game blends everyday life and magic: players attend Witchbrook College and settle into Mossport, a seaside town. It supports up to four players in online co-op, according to its Steam page, which lists Chucklefish and Robotality as developers and Chucklefish as publisher.

That page still shows Jan. 27, a day earlier than the studio's site, which sticks with the 28th.

Nintendo of America announced that Slime Rancher 2 will come to Switch 2 in January 2027, without giving a day. "Time to get wiggly, Ranchers!" the account wrote alongside a 43-second video.

Monomi Park launched the game on PC on Sept. 23, 2025, through Steam. On a Nintendo console, the debut would be the Switch 2 edition. The tweet mentions neither a price nor extra content.

January 2027 now has two dates for players' calendars. Witchbrook's page is already linked from the Nintendo, Xbox and PlayStation stores, so it can go on wish lists starting today.
