Turtle Beach unveils the Stealth Ultra II Xbox controller
The $199.99 controller is up for preorder and ships Nov. 12; the 8000 Hz polling rate applies only to wired use on PC.
Turtle Beach has opened preorders for the Stealth Ultra II, an officially Xbox-licensed wireless controller that costs $199.99 and ships Nov. 12. It is sold in the company's online store and at participating retailers.
It is the second generation of the Stealth Ultra, which came out in late 2023 at the same list price. The new model swaps in "anti-drift" TMR sticks and keeps the touchscreen, which lets players adjust the controller without leaving the game.
The rest, according to the store listing:
- Sticks: three "gate" profiles (GateShift).
- Controls: four programmable back buttons and triggers with adjustable stops.
- Battery: 12 hours on the factory settings, and up to 34 with Eco modes on.
- In the box: a wireless transmitter, a fast-charging dock, a hard case, a 3 m (10 ft) USB-A to USB-C cable and four extra thumbstick caps.
It works on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and Windows 10 and 11 PCs, over 2.4 GHz with the transmitter or by cable. Bluetooth works on PC, on Android 8.0 or later and on compatible TVs.
The 8000 Hz polling figure comes with fine print: it is up to 8 kHz wired and up to 1 kHz wireless, and Gaming Trend's spec sheet limits it to PC. It does not apply on consoles.
The same list price is 199.99 euros or 179.99 pounds. Turtle Beach has not published a price in pesos or said when the controller will reach Mexico.
