Charlyn Corral Wins Striker of the Year at the Ballon d'Or
The 35-year-old Pachuca forward finished the season with 43 goals and 11 assists in 46 games.
Charlyn Corral is the Ballon d'Or's top scorer of 2026. The Pachuca forward collected the award Monday at the gala in London.
Corral, 35, finished the 2025-26 season with 43 goals and 11 assists in 46 games.
She is the first Mexican honored by the Ballon d'Or, in either the women's or the men's categories, according to Concacaf.
At home, she won the Golden Boot in Liga MX Femenil, Mexico's top women's league, with 20 goals in 21 games. In the Concacaf W Champions Cup she scored twice to give Pachuca third place.
The prize goes to the year's top scorer, a spot Corral knows well: in 2017-18 she won the Golden Boot in Spain with Levante.
Another Mexican was at the same gala. Scarlett Camberos finished 21st in the women's Ballon d'Or.
